Be the Spark Spotlight: Karen Wilson, MSN RN CGRN
In our Be the Spark series, we’re continuing to showcase SGNA members who have taken their careers to the next level and are considered “sparks” within their organization.
In this latest video, hear from Karen Wilson, MSN RN CGRN, a GI nurse for 25+ years, whose role in the SGNA Infection Prevention Champions program was a key to her hospital’s success.
When her entire hospital system underwent a Joint Commission Survey, the analysis found inconsistencies in products and process. Hear from Karen first-hand how being an Infection Prevention Champion turned things around and led to the GI staff becoming go-to resources, not only for the hospital, but for the Joint Commission and State Health Department, as well.
You can see part two of Karen's story here, and be sure to catch up on Nancy’s story here.
